Keith J. McMaster

Founder + CEO

Keith is the CEO and co-founder of Firefly Legal. He has grown Firefly from a startup to a major national player in the civil process service industry. With over three decades of experience, he has developed a deep understanding of the legal support services landscape and leveraged his expertise to become a trusted partner to clients across the country.

Despite his busy schedule, Keith finds time to pursue his other passions, such as football. He enjoys coaching high school football and running clinics for the nation’s largest football league. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his kids.

Keith’s dedication to the legal support services industry has earned him a reputation as a leader and strong advocate for the profession. He has been recognized for his industry impact through education, volunteerism, and entrepreneurship, receiving numerous accolades throughout his career.

He was named to the ALFN Junior Professionals and Executives Group in 2015, a prestigious honor that recognizes emerging leaders in the legal services industry. He has also been involved in various professional associations, where he has held numerous leadership positions, including within the National Association of Professional Process Servers (NAPPS), where he served as Second Vice President and Secretary and Committee Chairman of Technology Criteria, Standards and Best Practices, and Member Benefits. In 2010, he helped found and guide the Illinois Association of Professional Process Servers (ILAPPS) serving as Secretary and Treasurer.

Matt Massa

Vice President + Director, Compliance

As the head of compliance, Matt has been instrumental in ensuring that Firefly Legal adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements in the jurisdictions where it operates. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the legal landscape, he has been responsible for ensuring that Firefly maintains the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

Matt is a licensed Private Investigator and oversees the company’s operations and process serving. His passion for upholding the law ensures that all civil process services are conducted with the utmost professionalism, diligence, and discretion.

He also oversees legal and corporate functions, including HR, skip tracing, finance, and IT. This has given Firefly a unique perspective on how these functions interact with compliance and legal requirements, and has allowed them to create a comprehensive approach to governance that ensures all aspects of the business operate smoothly and efficiently.

With over two decades of experience at Firefly Legal, Matt has become an integral part of the team, providing valuable insights and leadership to the company.

When Matt isn’t working, he prioritizes spending quality time with his kids, whether it’s watching their sports games or simply bonding over a fun activity. He also loves to travel with his family, discovering new places and making lasting memories together. Some of Matt’s favorite pastimes are participating in one of the largest cornhole leagues in the country or playing pickleball. When it is time to relax you can often find Matt and his family soaking up the sun on the beach.

Jennifer Dlugolecki

Director, Client Relations and Business Development

Jenn is an experienced account executive with over two decades in the legal industry. She started as a law firm paralegal, then moved to the process serving industry where she managed daily operations and expanded Firefly’s footprint by opening new offices in various locations. Currently, as the director of client relations and business development, Jenn utilizes her industry knowledge to sell Firefly’s services, build and maintain relationships with clients, identify new business opportunities, and develop strategies to promote the company’s services to the legal industry. Jenn is also an active committee member of the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA) and American Legal & Financial Network (ALFN). She was placed on the Junior Professionals & Executives Group Picture the Future List in the inaugural class of 2014.

Outside of work, Jenn volunteers her time and resources to raise awareness about ovarian cancer through the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC). She also works with Australian Shepherds Furever to rescue and rehome Australian Shepherds in need. Jenn’s diverse range of interests and volunteer work showcases her dedication to making a positive impact in the world around her.

Dana Davis

Director, Information Technology

Since 2018 Dana has served as the Manager of the Information Technology Department at Firefly Legal. She joined Firefly in 2007 as a software developer after graduating with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Working in IT has given her the opportunity to collaborate with every department in the company. This experience allows her to formulate technology with a deep understanding of the clients, files, and processes involved. Dana always puts the clients first. She enjoys working directly with people to determine and implement customized solutions that fit their individual needs. She has built and maintained integrations with client software, court systems, and many third-party systems.

In 2021 Dana was honored to be selected as one of the recipients of the American Legal & Financial Network’s Eighth Annual JPEG Picture the Future Award. JPEG is a young professionals network within the ALFN created to help legal and financial professionals under 40 years of age gain exposure and opportunities to career-building relationships.

In her free time, Dana enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She also loves going to the theater and traveling.

Trace Capps

Director, Business Insights + Operations Analysis

Trace works to optimize our operations and maximize efficiency. With a strong background in data analysis and process improvement methodologies, Trace analyzes Firefly’s processes, identifies areas of improvement, and designs and implements new processes that reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance client satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, Trace collaborates to develop and execute strategic plans that align with our business goals.

Prior to Firefly, Trace was an AP Calculus and Statistics teacher and coached football, baseball, and mathletes. In addition to teaching, he worked as a data analyst for the school, determining trends and correlations related to student achievement, and making data-driven recommendations to improve passing rates, graduation rates, and teacher incentive models.

A former collegiate football and baseball athlete, Trace likes being active and continues to coach high school football and baseball. He likes golfing, going on long hikes with his wife and dog, and participating in competitive game nights with his friends.

Trace has a BA in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and an MA in Education from Lewis University. He also is a certified Six Sigma black belt.
